Finalmente è arrivato. Stiamo parlando del nuovo singolo della cantautrice di
origini gallesi Duffy, amante del soul degli anni ’60 e dall’ inconfondibile
timbro vocale. Il brano si intitola “Mercy” ed esalta le sue grandiose capacità
canore, mettendo in mostra una voce veramente invidiabile. Il pubblico sembra
aver apprezzato, ed è così che il singolo, nel giro di poche ore, è balzato in
testa a tutte le classifiche inglese e, gli esperti dicono, vi resterà a lungo.
Sono passati diversi anni ad quando Duffy scoprì di
avere una voce travolgente:
a 15 anni andò nel Karaoke Club sotto casa a cantare le canzoni dei Beatles, dei
Rolling Stones o di Aretha Franklin e fu subito notata e convinta a proporsi in
giro per il mondo.
